That is really impresive. I'm not a GM fan but they deserve to get recognition. I've been an engineer for Toyota for some years. American car companies have so much potential and it's great that they are finally really putting out some higher quality products. What impresses me most with the ZR1, showing what can be done with a push rod 2 valve motor. You have to admit, in a world where 16 valves usually means a 4 Banger, GM really has shown how potent the old style is.

It's just a different customer group. I think you don't get it. None of the "exotic" supercars is build to be cheap. They don't care how expensive the car is. Again the interior matters A LOT cause all that extra weight makes these cars worse track cars. Just look at the Porsche GT2 (150k ?) time 7:15 or Maserati MC12 7:24 or Pagani Zonda F 7:24 or Ferrari Enzo 7:25. They are fast too just much more expensive because of all the luxury and status and they are handmade in very low quantities

assuming you put the acr in cruise gear it will also get over 20 mpg. anyways it is a bit unfair to compare a base viper to a zr1, extra 35k, not to mention the zr1 has a more balanced lightweight body with a fully bored out v8, the viper has to deal with a truck v10 that could be tuned to over 800 bhp with no induction.

that's the viper ACR. basically a street legal race car that doesn't count in my opinion. the standard viper doesn't hold a candle to the zr1, barely beats the z06. try driving the viper acr in rush hour traffic, ha. i'll take the vette with magnetic ride control, navigation, satellite radio, bose stereo, and excellent A/C, not too mention over 20 mpg.

You're the ignorant one, actually. The Vette beats many models of the supercars you listed. This puts it in the supercar category. It's not an "Exotic" supercar - Exotics are just that - from outside the US and irregular manufacturers such as small-scale production Ferrari, etc.

Yeah luckily i had nothing better to do that day. I made sure to pause every hour and rest my eyes for a few minute's walk around my house and stuff. The worst part about it was when it was all said and done the next morning i win a car that i already had :(. I've now had my same ps2 save ever since it's came out. I didn't play for a while cause i didn't have a ps2 now i play it on ps3. Paitently waitin for GT5. I got the prolouge but it just isn't enough. Heck im only 74% done with my GT4 save.

The best tip i could give you being a veteran GT player myself is start out slow. Don't go fast enough to where you will wreck. And don't use high horsepower car. For nurburg you want to soften the suspension some, And tighten up the sway bars if it's a factory car. Also don't forget r5 tire's, i would reccomend a NSX or one of the redbull audi touring car's all 3 of tho's handle very well. Use a tuned nsx if you have one.

Of course the speed is to fast, but its not an old 911, so the tail is really not imposible to save. If he had more skils driving this 911, this wouldent had happend. Magnificent driving by a legend in one of the greatest race machines in history. Smooth as a babies bum without pushing too hard. Would have been nice if they kept more engine note for the vid but one of the greatest in car vids i've seen. Lot of practice laps to get the balls up to hold pace for those blind ones. Phenomenal driving...6-1/2 min lap with weight onboard and not pushing.

I drove there in 1986 in a VW Golf GTI it was an awesome experience, I have quite a few miles on that piece road. It is not near as easy as it looks on these videos, you have to drive it a while before you can run hard on it, It takes a while to learn the track where to break and gas it for each corner etc. But it is definintly the ultimate driving experience.

That isn't turbo whine you can hear its transmission whine, the gearbox is right behind your head, something like a MR2. If you think its slow you should try the same kind of driving in an american musclecar, you'll find it much more of a handful and way slower through the corners.

if you look into it most do. especially cars from the likes of volvo. which actually have far more technology than the gtr. and in most cases the porsches. for the same price of car from porsche you would get a similar package to the gtr. but you would not get 8 grand of breaks ect. the gtr's speed comes from its twin turbo 3.8. it doesnt come from magic. the technology inside a porsche is unreal nowadays. those turbos are un like any other turbo and that is why they develop so much power.

so ur saying every car about £53k has all the technology the gtr has? im pretty sure the 911 is at least £30k more and i doubt it has the technology of the skyline. im pretty sure the 911s speed is just from the i6 with a turbo and light body design that makes up for most of its oomph. but the japs put loads of technology in the gtr probably almost certainly more than the 911.i like the skylines interior, porsches arrent much of a step up, as far as im concerned porsche is an overpriced vw.

i am lucky enough to have been in an r500 and it is truly awesome. the acceleration is in motrobike teritiory ad the car just grips and grips and drips. at one point it was the fastest car to 100 mph and quickest stopping car also. i did think it would be fastest ever car around that track. maybe if it had more track orientated tires that were a bit warmer it may grab the top place.

How come the NA1 NSX-R crushed the 348 and the NA2 NSX-R still outlapped the 360 using the same chassis? As a road going sports car the NSX-R in both 3.0 and 3.2L configurations are some of the greatest machines of all time for the drivers out there. This is a really good point that buckyohare420 makes. Since Rupert Murdoch and FOX now own the SPEED Channel you get no other racing series. I sware it that 70% annually is spent on just NASCAR on SPEED. The only reason I watch it still is for WSBK and MOTOGP. Sometimes they have the AUSV8STC in December and January. Then Le Mans in June, but still then they are covering fucking NASCAR. My point is that SPEED sold out to FOX, and that fucking sucks!
